NAAL

NAAL is the postmodernist, minimal composition/drone project of Chicago-native-turned-Nashville-transplant and award winning film composer Dave Mantel. What started as a bedroom-recorded instrumental rock project in 2013 has, over the years, developed in to a mature and established voice that combines elements of ambient and drone music, field recordings, and a multi-sensory live performance. NAAL explores the depths of simple, mostly a-melodic compositions, made up of thick layers of gently modulating tones and textures.
