Kev's journey in music started at 13 years old under the mentorship of his uncle, funk legend George Clinton. Surrounded by creativity, he began writing early, though it would be another 15 years before he started making music himself. In 2009, music became an outlet for self-expression and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. Blending hip-hop, R&B, and real-life experiences, Kev creates music that is soulful, honest, and deeply personal. Grammy-nominated artist Q Dot once described his sound best: "He's got the trap door, the conscious door, the quasi-R&B door, and then there's the Kev door." Today, Kev produces, engineers, and performs his own work, continuing to carve out a lane that's authentic, heartfelt, and uniquely his own. 17 years in, every song remains a reflection of growth, experience, and truth.
