Andrew Adkins
Andrew Adkins doesn’t chase the spotlight—he bends it. Based in East Nashville, just across from Broadway’s neon glow, he’s quietly built one of underground rock’s more compelling catalogs: music that feels lived-in, dreamlike, and a little haunted. Before going solo, he cut his teeth in two volatile bands—swampy blues-rock trio Mellow Down Easy and the gritty Lions for Real—both short-lived but formative. Rather than chase momentum, Adkins turned inward. Since 2013, his solo work has ignored genre lines, blending Americana, neo-psychedelia, and off-kilter rock into songs that unfold like strange, cinematic vignettes. His music has landed across film and TV while he’s remained fiercely independent. Having shared stages with artists like Sturgill Simpson and Cage the Elephant, Adkins stands firmly in the lineage of the outsiders—craft-obsessed, trend-averse, and committed to music that hits both the gut and the strange corners of the mind.
